According to Pantone, 2020 is going to be all about blue, with the colour appearing in everything from crockery and cushions to table lamps and throws.
The company, which is known for its colour trend forecasting, has predicted classic blue (PANTONE 19-4052) will be all the rage in private and rental homes in Britain.
According to Pantone, the shade represents a dependable and stable foundation to move forward to a new era from – and it brings calmness, confidence and connection.
Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, says: “We are living in a time that requires trust and faith.
“It is this kind of constancy and confidence that is expressed by Pantone 19-405 Classic Blue, a solid and dependable blue hue we can always rely on.”
The shade is also versatile which means it is going to be a popular choice, she continues, and it can be paired with saffron yellow, soft pink and even rich forest green.
